just using this tool on my database (phpnuke with phpbb2)


I'm getting a

Invalid query:
INSERT INTO `jos_fb_users` (userid, posts, signature) VALUES ('1593', '', ''
Duplicate entry '1593' for key 1

any ideas ? is this a duplicate username ?

my site is about 21,000 users and 127mb of posts

everything else seems to be ok, just the users conversion dies.

Yep - looks like a duplicate user. I had the same problem, found that the user registered twice using the same email address but different username. Try looking up user No. 1593 in Joomla, then copy and search using the email or username they registered with. Find the oldest registration date and delete it. I found about 10 in a database of 400 so you may find a few of these.

thanks.

I'll have a look and see if I can find him. spot on, found him again a few records down the track. will have to nuke him out of the database before I do the live conversion.

do I have to restart the conversion process from scratch again ? or will it resume if I just reload phpbb2fb.php ?

well,

I have the same problem.

127597 articles with 21320 users = 6 hours on a core duo of crunching to find this out

might have to try the SMF conversion process.

Can anyone comment if there are issues with renumber users in joomla ? or know of a tool to renumber users in phpbb2 ? I'm guessing if I add 62 to all users in phpbb2, then the problem will sort it's self out yeh ?

I found out (in a prior post) that Joomla users starts at 62, you don't need to make any changes. Try the method I did and move to SMF then FB.

argh! I tryed a fresh conversion from phpbb2 to SMF and still failed... I might be inclined to just start fresh as a new project! Luckly I have a small site with less then 2500 users.

To all prior posters: 62 is the standard first userid of Joomla, you don't have to change anything for it to happen. The Joomla-usertable has an auto-increment setting which starts at 62 (no clue why...). So 62 is ok, it's not a problem.
