Re:How to run SQL scripts -> the lazy man's way 3 Months, 1 Week ago
I installed easySQL but it still won't work so I decided to go back to using mySQLadmin. I'm quite sure that my forum is the first one that was released after Joomla board. It doesn't have an online status indicator so I think it's definitely 1.0.0. So I am using the Fire board_100_to_1.0.3 script. I've read the PDF manual about a thousand times so I know exactly what I'm doing up to when I get the errors, this is where I'm getting confused. I know that I am doing everything correctly because everything worked to a tee when I practised upgrading on a testing website. I know it's got something to do with the fact that the test forum didn't have any entries, the other forum has been running for nearly 18 months so has a lot of entries.

If I actually knew what "Duplicate key name 'mesid' " meant and how to alter the script then I be halfway there. However, I can't find anywhere that explains what you have to do to the script. The instructions say to "execute the rest of the queries and not all of them" what does it actually mean in layman's terms?

I can actually make the changes in mySQLadmin if I knew what to do.Do you have to delete part of the script (Fireboard_100_to_1.0.3) until it starts working?
