Hello Friends,

First of all i m new to this board.. and i appreciate the hard work behind fireboard development team.

Recently i have upgraded my fireboard 1.0.3 to 1.0.4 from stable patch..

So the problem is when ever i try to recount the categories stat by clicking on "Recount Categories Stat" button it always shows me error:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in componentscom_fireboardclass.fireboard.php on line 394

so i increases the max_execution time to 300 seconds in the php.ini still the problem is there..
so i tried again and set the max_execution time to 3000 seconds in the php.ini and found the problem still.. there..

When i click on Recount categories stat the webserver uses processing resources i can see that and the script error always shows on different line using different timmings.

so i want help to resolve thing problem?

Contact your host. GoDaddy has started cramming people onto shared servers and many timeout errors are happening. Might be the same with your host.

It begs to mention that GoDaddy won't do anything about it or even acknowledge your problem. They will blame it on "internet congestion".

but i was expecting some thing more intelligent..

and i mentioned i modified my php.ini so i m not on a dedicated server.. coz in dedicated server i don't think you can modify your php.ini

i m running and testing it on my pc as a testing server.. b4 i can go to my live website.

so plz help and someone resolve my problem..

Well it would have been nice if you had mentioned that it was on a local machine. THAT would have been intelligent. Since it IS local there's not much to tell you since you ALSO do not list what your local testing environment consists of.

So, since I'm not intelligent enough for you I'll wish you good luck on getting that resolved.

i m using apache+php+mysql+phpmyadmin+mysqlmanager+Joomla all configured separately by me..

On a dedicated server you can change anything and everything. This is why it's called dedicated. Dedicated to you the user. On shared you can't because it will effect everyone on that server.
Your problem has NOTHING to do with FB and everything with your PHP+MYSQL+APACHE+PHPMYADMIN+ whatever else you have running.
If your configuration in PHP does not coincide with your apache configuration, then the two systems could be fighting each other.

So before asking for an "Intelligent Answer", go to php.net learn how to configure your server correctly then come ask an intelligent question.

There are many here to help and grumblemarc, though a little grumbly at times is probably one of your best resources. OOOOPS I'll rephrase that, WAS one of your best resources.

ok i know i was a lil. rude it coz i wasted lots of time on tht thing..
i cannot reccount the categories.. it always shows.. zero ..
I checked and rechecked the same thing on my server configuration as i m not only using apache but i m also using lighttpd

so i think maybe there is something wrong with the joomla or may be the previous version of FB(1.0.3) i installed was corrupted..

The only thing i was expecting was a helpful answer no offense..

Still i m waiting for an answer.

This is a BIG bug in RECOUNT script!!!!!!!!!

I have the same problem, when i click recount my HTTPD service in my server go to 100% cpu utilization!

I think BOJ have to patch the recounting stats script!!!

Quick question sumbus, If not a server or configuration issue, then why is it that the majority of FB users are able to accomplish a recount?
Above was mentioned by the original poster that he is getting a 30 second time out even though he set is time_out to 3000. (OH Wait does the php.ini count in seconds or milliseconds) Brain dead moment on my part. never the less, majority of users ARE able to recount the stats. I have seen a few people mention this. As GM and I are only users LIKE YOURSELF, we can't pin point the absolute problem and can only begin supporting the likes of you by guessing. You want an absolute answer, here it is;

With out access to your server (Username and Password) and files (FTP) and see what (if) any changes to ANY of the joomla/components/modules or plugins that you may or may not have made. Not to mention you haven't even began to let us know if it's Joomla 1.0.? or 1.0.5, what components and modules you have, what server platform you're on (linux, Windows) etc... how the heck do you expect an answer? We begin by guessing different things that CAN/MAY effect your particular issue. From there we begin to narrow it down to something a little more tangible. If ALL else fails, I will jump into the code to see if I can find problems with the code and hopefully resolve it.
GM began to troubleshoot and was basically called an idiot, then you come in screaming at what it's NOT.
Well heck guys if you are SO much smarter than I suggest YOU FIGURE IT OUT and enlighten the rest of us morons.
