How can we open new thread? 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago  
I installed FB en created the section/categories
User registration and everything works but i couldnt find the place to open new threads?
That button is nowhere

but still there are no buttons for that

Ok I solved the problem
It was because I was trying to open a new thread right under the Forum Category.
It needs at least 1 subcategory(child group)

I have the same problem.. with child categories...

Post a new thread is impossible !

My forum are open, publics, with any restriction, no moderation, etc.

But, how can I create a new category? The instruction says:

"Please note: To create a Category, choose 'Top Level Category' as a Parent."

However the 'Top Level Category' does not show up. The only option for Parent is 'No Parent'!! What should I do?

OK, now. I created a first fórum/category and it was considered a category, in spite of the instruction. Now I have other problems:

1) When I ftry to add an annoucement, as administrator I get an error message: "Hacking attempt"

2) My forum appears embeded in my front page. It doesn't help to choose New Window in the FireBoard menu.

Hi Paulo,

I'm having the SAME problem! I just installed Fireboard for J 1.5.3 and says to use Top Level Catagorie. I then tried creating a Catagory using Joomla (thinking that is the only OTHER place I could possibly add a Catagory and make this work) but that did NOT help.

Did you figure it out or get help?
