Thanks for letting us alone with this, will try to fix my unfixed bug myself as if i understand well no help will be provided here has you just want testers but not help them to fix bugs right ?
You know sometimes such behaviour is destroying all my will to test, find, fix and share things.

frodon2,
Not sure what got you all excited. I am very grateful for you sharing the problems. In fact the posting on locked threads had been fixed this week and will be in the next nightly patch. Still working on others.

Because your post looks like "please test the patch but don't expect help on it", that's why you got such answer and will surely have again with this approach, if there's no additional value in this thread like support i can just grab the svn version myself and fill the bugtracker which would make this thread quite senseless. Maybe i misread your post but it really looked like that.

Unfortunately, I can confirm that the scroll bar issue persists on my site (which was the main problem that I was having, or at least I wasn't able to find any other ones!) - maybe better luck next time in the next developer patch.
No complaints from me of course; everything works and I know this was meant to try to fix the issues caused by the 1.0.4 patch - out of curiosity, grumblemarc and fxstein, how often do the SVN's come out?
(and yes, I cleared all my private data and caches in my browsers before making this post)

That's the one problem I still cannot reproduce. I have tried:
IE6 & 7, Firefox on Windows and Mac, Safari on Windows and Mac and a few other minor browsers. I wonder if this is a conflict with another template or jscript. Would somebody with this issue allow me to poke behind the scenes of their install?
As for the SVN: Every time a fix gets checked in a new SVN version gets created. Usually they are not made public until the next release but can be downloaded directly form SVN (joomlacode.org) but since there is no install it is not as easy for the average joe to test those. That's why I volunteered to package a nightly build. I will put together another one within the next couple of days or so, as several more issues have been fixed.

Maybe it's Joomla template related like you said? We would need people to start reporting that info if they are having this scrollbar problem.

Sure, I'm using the standard "default" fireboard template (the older blue one) and the rhuk joomla template. Nothing has been altered except language files on fireboard, and I haven't made any substantive changes whatsoever to the rhuk template - just simple things like colors, images, etc.
Please let me know if there's anything else I can do to help out, information-wise.

Just also noticed that after the original 1.0.4 patch was applied, the ability to "preview" posts has vanished as well - the popup doesn't show up at all in firefox, and in IE7, when I click the preview button, the only reaction is that the yellow exclamation mark in the lower left corner tells me "error on page"
the error message in IE7 says:
[code:1]
Char: 1
Error: Object Expected
Code:0
[/code:1]

I ditched the .4 patch files (not this one). There is some discrepancy/difference in them and the regular release. I uninstalled and reinstalled using the full package and all my issues were fixed. When I upgraded using the patch files from .3 I had all sorts of errors.
