I have the same problems on my site. Googled for 2 hours learned me that this is a IE7-bug with downloading zip's. www.dslreports.com/forum/r17602119-IE-IE...les-Firefox-does-not~start=20



so firefox is the answer. ofcourse it would be nicer to offer users some other way of downloading zip-files. offering rar's for windows-users on ie7 is not much more userfriendly then telling then to use firefox.

any other ideas?

sure thing, if one could ever find a workaround for that stuff other that packing everything in rar or so.

bill knows this already:

the only 'solution' I see so far is to link directly to the zip-files without any php-downlaod-script. Too bad the counter doesn't work then. I've been trying to use ajax for that, but got stuck: forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=127&t=321426

anyone else found a workaround yet?
