As I see it, fxstein is the one and only "dev" who's making 1.0.5 - all the others are working on the next big version
so you can post the bugs, he will fix them and release this (presumably) last version of the 1.0 series

Hi guys,
Thx a lot for those bug listings. I absolutely want to hear from you what does not work. I really appreciate you taking the time and trying out the SVN.
A couple of things:
I want to make sure we have a clean 1.0.5 to give the rest of the dev team the time needed to finish the work on the NEW fireboad. Once I am done with 1.0.5, I will help them create a clean 2.0....
default_ex is a new template, I have been testing locally but the new enhanced version has not been installed anywhere. Naturally there will be bugs and I need your help to find and identify them.
default_ex is currently missing all the jscripts in the SVN. Turns out my local test template had all the required scripts but the template needs those on any other joomla template. The original download for default_ex did not come with them but Numinu did. Its on my list to get done/added.
Right now I am working on automating the whole package built process. In the past packages have been built by hand - too slow - too much work - and too much of a chance to make mistakes. In addition, all future releases will have a single distribution package for both initial install and upgrades. No more manual file copies, no more manual SQL executions to upgrade existing stuff.
This was a lot of work, but for me a must have for any future release. Too much trouble for many folks to upgrade their sites.
RIght now my focus for the next couple of days is that automated build and release process. Once I have a solid package that installs and upgrades cleanly, I will provide the first release candidate package. That will allow more folks to test the latest version.
So thanks a LOT for your help finding issues. If you find one and find he root in the code too, it will speed up things considerably.
Thx for your patience, like everybody else I have to do this in my spare time. After work and in between running my own site and a tiny bit of private life.
Keep them coming.

Hi,
doesn't install for me. Installation via Joomla! install leads into a white screen after 85 sec. ...
Is this package installeable via Joomla! installer or do we have to copy the directory/file structure by hand on to the webspace, a the moment?

Frank the SVN has to be manually copied. It's the install part that I am working on - see my latest post.
Creating an installable package requires much more than zipping up the files.

Here I will post all the missing or not working things:
[FIXED]#1 _VIEW_MERGE,_VIEW_SPLIT in language file
#2 In BACKEND (J1.5.3): "start, prev, 1,2,3,..., next, end" buttons not working
#4 "Sticky" in RECENT DISCUSSIOND would be nice.

Hi Oliver,
thanks for your quick reply.
I've copied the SVN 1.0.5 RC 1 manually. Seems to work. I will try that thing out some time now
Btw. ... in Fireboard Backend the Revision Number ist still at 1.0.4

That's because I have not flipped the SVN to the new database based configuration. That 1.0.4 is in your configuration file - something we need to get away from for the automated upgrades. There will be a tiny converter, that you run before the upgrade that will take the configuration information and write it into the database. Then the upgrade, then the correct version number...

I assume this is default_ex?
Please always specify the template you are testing.
Thx!
