404 Error 2 Months, 1 Week ago
I have installed FireBoard (1.0.4_Stable_CompletePackage) and it is running smoothly on the administrative end. However, when I try to access it on the front end I get the following error:

"FILE NOT FOUND: forum/index.php"

"404: Not Found
Sorry, but the content you requested could not be found"

Please help...thanks

You did not provide a link to your webside, so it's impossible to have a look at your live side. But, it seems, in backend, you haven't build the menue link right, to access the forum in frontend

The link to my website forum is "www.tukuza.com/forum/index.php"

As you can see, I built the menu link to access the forum but maybe there is something I am not doing right...

Please check out the link and tell me what you think

Your fireboard is working fine (http://www.tukuza.com/index.php?option=com_fireboard), the issue here is your JoomSEF SEF URL's component. I've often run into this problem and either had to change the URL, make a new menu item or in some rare instances reinstall the troubling component.

So try changing '/forum/index.php' to 'forum.html' (or whatever you want). See if this helps If not or if you need more information about how to change the URL have a look on the JoomSEF developers website http://www.artio.net/en/joomla-extensions/artio-joomsef.

P.s. also I hope your aware that the free version of JoomSEF puts spam in your "Generator" meta tag. Which can actually be bad for you SEO wise For people not willing to spend the money on the paid version JoomSEF or for those on a tight budget I recommend using the free sh404SEF component (extensions.joomla.org/component/option,c...k_id,2380/Itemid,35/).

... or have to deactivate the unnecessary JoomSEF plugin to drive spam free
