I have a problem, every time someone wants to open and see the post, I get blank screen with post and links without a theme and unformatted. Also no frames.

Back to say my problem with fireboard has been resolved. In this case, the difficulties appeared to be related to save.session_path which was not writable. Host rep suggested that I add the following to .htaccess and it did the trick.


php_value session.save_path /tmp

Also I would suggest that you really make sure that the database is using utf-8 character code.

RSS IS NOT WORKING.

Try subscribing to this very forum using the nice shiny RSS icon in the bottom right corner.

PLEASE developers fix this, or give some insight int how to fix it, or instructions on how to remove the RSS icon as it clearly does not work. It just generates overhead for me as I get bug reports. Put something else in that corner as decoration. A pot of dasies for example.

Here is few bugs that I have run in to. I am new user, so I might have missed something or I repeat items already discussed. I run Fireboard 1.0.4 and Joomla 1.5.3
SEO, SEF and Apache rewrite are on. PHP is version 5.2.2 and safe mode is off.

1. FB profile can change all other userdetails, but password. Obviously itīs because FB 1.0.4 doesnīt recognise the newest Joomla 1.5.3. Forum gives following message:
"Fatal error: Class 'joomlaVersion' not found in /home/pt5545/public_html/components/com_fireboard/ template/default/plugin/myprofile/myprofile.php on line 702"

2. QUOTE wont work the way it should. Whitout spesific formulation ([quote=txtowner]) it wont give any quotebox, but just types QUOTE up to borrowed chapter.

3. pdf-tool is not working. Gives following error message:

4. Antispam & antibot CAPTHCA is not working. No matter how right I give the checking code, I got answer that the code is wrong and I canīt write anything.

Despite these, I like the Fireboard and the way itīs working so far.

BUGS and FIXES

So I'll start on a more positive note...the fix.
It's about the one where if you delete a topic, the count still stays the same and it goes weird.
Well this isn't evenm abug, and I'm sure Fireboard develpers are aware of it...
Just go ointo Admin...Components...Fireboard...Then on the navigation it says something like 'Recount Post category statistics'

simple.

BUG
If you try and move a topic from the category view, you cant specify a forum to move it to and, (if you're stupid like me) you click move anyway it dissapears. Only way to move something is to go into the database and manually changew the category number

This is a major problem for me as well. I've just ported a large SMF forum to FB (112,000+ posts) and the Forum appears to be generating too many SQL connections resulting in the whole site going offline. It's also horribly slow.

Anyone else experiencing this?

In addition to this: If code is quoted the preview doesn't work.
