I am running Joomla 1.5 in legacy mode (new installation). I installed the 1.0.4 release and did NOT get any errors installing. It said it was successful. But when I access the Fireboard component in the Joomla administrator I get this error:

I also get that same error on the front end when the forums come up. I installed the sample data and I tried to add a new thread to one of the child forums and got this error:

Fatal error: Cannot use object of type fb_Config as array in /home/content/g/r/e/gregluce/html/components/com_fireboard/sources/interpreter.fireboard.inc.php on line 325

along with the whole page being laid-out broken.

Please advise.

Can you please explain what you mean by "complete the install"?

Go back into the Joomla control panel. Find the Components link. Click on FireBoard. If you see an option to upgrade from JoomlaBoard or fresh install you have not completed the install.

After installation I immediately went to the Components > Fireboard link and it did NOT give me an option to upgrade from JoomlaBoard or fresh install. It simply had the error at the top and showed the Fireboard Control Panel and all it's options.

Then even with the error I hit the Load Sample Data and it apparently got installed. I see the sample forums/threads below the error of course.

My prefix is indeed "jos_", but there is NOT a "jos_fb_config" table. I do have 15 "jos_fb_..." tables though.

I'm coming across this same issue as well. I just installed fireboard today and I have this error:


I'm able to change the configuration but when I try to go to the administration section to make categories for the forum all I see is a page full of tables describing different errors.

Both of your installations are incomplete. Tables are not being created in the database. Have you tried reinstalling?
