how to post topic in fireboard? 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago  
hi,
i installed fireboard in my joomla component,
it installed successfully, i made a category, forums.
but i cant see anything in posting some topics.
i cant post a topic cause there is no "post new topics" etc.

please advice.

Im getting exactly the same problem.
There is no link anywhere which allows my users to post a new topic on the forum under the categories... any auggestions?? x

Have either of you checked to see whether your forum's configuration allows for public read/write? The default is that anyone can *read* posts, but in order to be able to write a new post/topic/reply you need to be logged in.

Don't worry - it's something that is very often overlooked. Hope that helps.

Hey

Even when a user is logged in there is no option to post a new topic...
And it is set to write for public too, so it should let public write aswell... do you know what this could be? x

You haven't created categories or topics for anyone to post to. Also you have errors on your forum.

Yup - Grinchy's right... you have no forums set up where people *can* post - only top-level. You need to have at least one forum under each top-level in order for people to post.

As for the errors - hard to tell what's causing that, but we'll figure it out.
