They are just hosting the age old OpenSEF file to download.

Till they don't bring new version (with patch/upgrades), to me, OpenSEF is stll a 'DEAD PROJECT'

Currently it doesn't look like there will be an update for OpenSEF for Joomla 1.0.x.

And just a small correction: sh404SEF is not based on OpenSEF at all, as a previous poster mentioned. It is based on the much older (dating back to Mambo times) SEF404, but has had numerous improvements. Artio JoomSEF is also derived from SEF404, by the way.

I successfully uninstalled OpenSEF and installed sh404SEF. So far, works OK. Moreover, sh404SEF works for VirtueCart and Fireboard; OpenSEF does not.

So I think it is worth the time and effort to mirgrate to sh404SEF.

And ideas?

solution for sefadvance users? if i delete the sef.ext.php the discussbot works but if i delete it..there's no more sef for fireboard! and if i keep it..there is no more discussbot use in forum!! anyone does have a solution to this? i've asked in sef advance forum but no answers yet

Still happy with it? I am still looking for the best SEF solution out there but keep getting closer and closer to go to sh404SEF,

So if I migrate to sh404SEF why would I lose the old urls? Would the structure be different?
