The discuss this article module is an ok way to link the forums with the articles. But I think this needs to have a big overhaul to include the actual posts and a way to post from within the actual article as well.

I believe the click on the current 'Discuss this article on the forums. (0 posts)' link just isn't enticing enough for a lot of users.

I have been tossing up whether to keep this link and use something jomcomment which allows people to comment there and then, which also has other search engine benefits by keeping the page updating and changing.

But there are also so many benefits to have these comments within a forum.

So my questions is, would do other think about a module which allowed both?

Wouldn't it be great to be able to post and display comments on the article page AND on a thread that is started up in the forums like what happens with the current discussbot.

People could post either in the thread on the forums or at the actual article and it shows up in both.

This would be great all around as far as I could see. Tightly integrated articles and forums, great for search engines, whilst making for a better user experience.

I wonder what others think about this idea?

This site (best of joomla) already has something like that, somehow I can't find that module / mambot in the download section...

My goodness. I never saw that.

It does seem to do most of it. It displays the comments on the page, which is the biggie for me. SEO.

Would still like to be able to post directly from the page though.

Does anybody know if this is already public or they are planning to make it public?
