Don't mean to burst any bubbles but there won't be any new features implemented until at least version 2.0 when extension support is planned. All releases until then will primarily aimed at making FB functional with Joomla 1.5 and addressing current bugs. That is how I understand it.

Seems to me that this is actually a major bug in design functionality.

"bug" is a rather inaccurate description. A bug is when a feature that has already been implemented behaves in unexpected ways. This feature has not been implemented yet, therefor it cannot be buggy, yet. Once we have it, we can begin pointing out it's bugs, should any arise. However, since it doesn't even exist yet, perhaps that is what we should be focusing on.

I am hoping that 2.0 does indeed implement this feature set, natively as part of the core code. Not necessarily as an add-on however, as it is more of a basic functionality feature than an added feature. All other forums have this basic ability.

By the way, I am still willing to give this thing a looking at if someone can point me to the right files. I would live test any changes I try on my site to ensure some kind of functionality before posting any code here.

Hi. I need this feature as well.

It is on a site that probably will not be migrated to 1.5. Am I correct in understanding that there will be no more work done to support users that stay on the 1.0 version of Joomla! or will the new release support both users of 1.5 and 1.0?
