jCommunity intergration & support 1 Year ago
Joobisoft has announced that they'll soon release a community platform, an alternative to Community Builder (C. Learn more here: www.joobisoft.com/index.php?option=com_c...;id=15&Itemid=30

I'm wondering if and when FireBoard will integrate to the software ...any news on this?

Thanks,
John

How can there be news on this if the platform isn't even released? Right now it's in beta.

Re:jCommunity intergration & support 1 Year ago
They are running joomlaboard for their own reasons, and as an emerging - and promising - community platform for Joomla, my question is/was (instead) directed to the FireBoard team: who gets the ball rolling to integrate FB to their software plans.

If I remember correctly, while FB was in beta it made an effort to network and collaborate with other Joomla extensions. All I was inquiring was if/how/when FB might do that with jCommunity. Perhaps a more forthcoming answer would clarify things.

Thanks,
John

If you are keeping up on things then you realize the focus of the dev team at this time is to eliminate the many bugs now plaguing Fireboard. As such many promised items, such as group access and forum converters, did not make it into this release. New features will not be added anytime soon much less integration with other components/modules. No need to ask the dev team. They have already stated as much.

Also my statement about them running JOOMLABOARD was meant to highlight the fact that they seem to have no intention of supporting Fireboard truly, or realize that Fireboard is in no state, at the present, to be integrated with other components/modules.

I will suggest you (jCommunity) to 1st release the STABLE version (really stable version) to ask other Joomla-Components to support you.

P.S. why are you asking for 'open developers' to write code for your component which is NOT FREE. (I have seen the FREE edition, it has nothing special/new)

Ok, so there's Joomunity and there's also JCommunity? And both of these do what CB does? This is getting interesting!
