For me it doesnt matter anymore, as result of the lack of an answer I had to search for my own solution:
1.- vBulletin to SMF
Source: www.simplemachines.org

2.- SMF to FB
Source: www.bestofjoomla.com/component/option,co...ew/id,18672/catid,6/

Then I moved the forum to another server, you can see the process explained here:

so disappointing that no progress has been made on this. I bet there are 1,000's of us who would switch to fireboard if only there was a converter.

I have found that it is available here for download...

I have no idea if anyone has used it successfully and I don't know what version of vb, joomla, sql, php, etc.

Has anyone had any luck with this?

this should not be a sticky. Its a real shame that fireboard lacks converters. There are so many of us that want to make the switch but unfortunately its never going to happen.
