I have no special char... Only thing that doesnt work is the users, everything else imports great... Do i have to import them into joomla first or something? becuase at one point i used the SMF bridge to sync the users and then the script imported all my users to Fireboard, only problem is that none of the passwords worked..

would it be the same kind of procedure i tend to see here to migrate from SMF stand alone installation , not included in Joomla! to Fireboard?

I will try some avenues...but not sure they will work.
My install is not a bridge, fork, just standalone forum.

Where can I get the latest version of the converter - all links in the previous posts seem to be broken? I did test this out a few months ago and it worked fine but I don't have the script anymore. Does anyone have it?

Is the problem of attachment's solve?

There are some links in another thread that take you to the latest info or downloads. I think there are 2 versions of a converter, each with their problems.

I'm hoping something official comes out. However, my hope is waning because we were told from the very first release of Fireboard that there would an official converter. Yet the developers don't seem to respond to anyone's query. Obviously, they are very busy but some kind of response saying either "its on the the back burner." or "we are currently developing this and it will be in release 1.X" or "there is no chance in hades that this is happening" would be very helpful.
