When will FireBoard be available for Joomla 1.5 Native?

Hi,

I've installed Fireboard 1.0.4 on Joomla 1.5.3. The only problem I have is that when I'm not logged into the joomla site, I can't access the board.

I've got the same configuration and I'm really in trouble: I can't define the public acess to an user group. It simply doesn't work and I don't know what to do - someone here with the same problem?!

Joomla 1.5.3 + Fireboard 1.0.4 stable permissions 4 Months, 1 Week ago
I have installed joomla 1.5.3 and fireboard 1.0.4 stable and for some reason when I set the permissions for a forum to registered the only way registered members can view the forum is if I change the permissions for the forum from registered to everyone then back to registered.

After that all registered subscribers can see the forum but not anyone that registers afterwords.

I saw that this was an issue several months back but have seen no resolution to this issue.

Is there any code hacks that have been done to get around this permissions issue?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I am also having problems with permissions. I have set up my forums on Joomla 1.5.2 and FireBoard 1.0.4.

Only moderators or administrators can access the forums no matter how I set the permissions.

Can anyone please help? This issues wasn't noticed until after the site was released.

Joomla! 1.0.13 + Fireboard installation problems 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I have just loaded Fireboard 1.0.4 and I get what seems to be a common problem:

DB function failed with error number 1054
Unknown column 'g.id' in 'on clause' SQL=SELECT a.*, a.name AS category, u.name AS editor, g.name AS groupname, h.name AS admingroup FROM jos_fb_categories AS a LEFT JOIN jos_users AS u ON u.id = a.checked_out LEFT JOIN jos_core_acl_aro_groups AS g ON g.id = a.pub_access LEFT JOIN jos_core_acl_aro_groups AS h ON h.id = a.admin_access GROUP BY a.id ORDER BY a.ordering, a.name

Loading sample data gets everything looking ok at the front end, but the admin section for Forum Administration does not work.

Is there a solution?

Re:Joomla 1.5 + Fireboard installation problems 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Anyone had ideas on the blank page after trying to install Fireboard on Joomla 1.53.

I have tried setting this up on my home apache box but with no joy.

I have used the Legacy mode on a brand new installation with every single dir on 777 just for the fun of it and it will not install I just get blank admin page like many others.

However on the uploaded proper host webpage it all installs just fine, with the same template I was orginally trying to install Fireboard with and every setting the same ( not 777 thou lol )

So threfore I can only see it being a differnce between my the 2 servers. As my box is still PHP4 and mysql 4 and proper host is all on PHP5 someting it maybe down to that. All I can say it is not down to a template well not in my case just seems something running different on the apache server if I find out what ill try let all you blank admins know.

I think that problem is maybe with web server or version of PHP or MySQL. I have installed Wamp 2 and I now have the same problem, but earlier when I had installed apache2triad1.1.8 which has earlier versions of PHP and MySQL I installed FireBoard in Joomla successfully and without any problems (but then I had problems with Joomla - at that time 'save' nad 'apply' didn`t work - when I wanted to save new article, section or category - it seems that Joomla is in some conflict with Apache).

I cannot believe that the same question coming up a new of times has not been addressed at all. It's really sad to see this project end up this way as it has loads of potential...
