I used to use SMF in different ways, but due to the "license" issues i am also forced to look for alternatives.
I aint a "super" php/template/codex or design master, however i do see bugs and errors very fast, even the stable release has some core issues (like user is identifyed only on ip instead of username aswell)
And the dutch translations is bugged aswel, i shall try to help u lot with all the errors/bugs i find.
I wont be using FB on my "larger" community's but ill have a go on the smaller ones.

Yeah a wiki would probably be a great idea as long as it was a little more comprehensive than (say) the one on virtuemart which really tends to have little in the way of useable info for novice users which lets be fair are going to be the more likely people to need to use the wiki in the first place.
If you're looking for a wiki, I suggest DokuWiki.
2 reasons : 1 it's very easy to set up, 2 it exists for Joomla as well and it's called openwiki

I regret to inform you I feel I must step down as Moderator on bestofjoomla.com. I have a new job and other responsibilities which prevent me from visitng BoJ on a regular basis anymore. I have truly enjoyed singing the praises of BoJ, Fireboard and the community and will continue to do so. I just won't be able to play as big a role in its development.

I too can help...This component is damn good man...

I have been helping a friend with fireboard and a certain template, which got messed up, and I think I noticed a few glitches fireboard is to blame for... see here)
