I would like to throw my hat into the ring to help.

I am a long standing member of e107 and have written a vast amount of plugins for that application including the only commercial plugin for it (ZoGo-Shop) Whilst I have no background with as a Joomla developer I am a PHP programmer and it won't take me too long to learn the ropes.

I have downloaded the latest SVN and am going to write in "Private Forums" functionality hopefully from there people will see the benefit I can bring to development of this product

Also what part of the SVN should I use for adding features, the Trunk or the realese?

I would like to be able to import from Missus as well. For a few years ago we went from a ASP forum to Joomla and we did drop all old stuff, but the most complain, understandable, was that we could not import the private messages. So, this time, we really want to be able to import it all.


One of the major PMs right now is JIM. A JIM import would really kick start Firemessage and allow for a lot of early adopters.

The release 1.0 tree. Trunk is out of sync right now. Also - expect plenty of updates over the next few days as we are checking in bug fixes.

That shouldn't be a problem to the code that I am adding.
I will work on my functions and get it working.

Where will I be able to see when it is in Synch so that I can get the latest version to add my new feature.

I will likely be adding this so that I can apply it to the latest stable release as well anyways.

Just stay with the release 1.0 tree. It is always at the latest head revision of the entire project.

If enough people want it, I'll might spend som time making a dark version of Numinu. And if there are any Norwegians on this forum (pretty rare, I guess) I've alreday made a Norwegian version of Numinu

Numinu's my fave FB theme at the time. Simply love it's simplicity

noo, I didnt mean that fireboard is abandoned, I meant this topic is quite dead. I wrote that I can help but nobody answered, nor did I get any PMS. Ok then.
Anyways, I love Fireboard! Keep the work going!
