NO issues to report at this time. I have a non-working preview button but I suspect it's the Rockettheme template causing it.

Got this from Joomlaworks
forum.joomlaworks.gr/index.php?PHPSESSID...881&topic=2149.0

This post is for those who are experiencing javascript issues (errors or conflicts) when using the latest "Frontpage Slideshow" module (v1.6) on Joomla! templates that heavily rely on Mootools (mainly the RocketTheme templates).

So, if you already have such a template and furthermore, if you have installed some other Joomla! or Mambo extension that uses Mootools as well, you can get javascript errors or conflicts. But wait! This is actually normal and it all depends on how Mootools works. You see, calling the Mootools library multiple times (not to mention calling different version of the Mootools library on the same template!) causes it to crash in many situations.

So what do we do? The best solution is to call the full Mootools library on your template's head.../head tags and comment it out/delete it from your extensions and your template.

That way you will only include the Mootools library once (=less weight for your webpage too) and all your Mootools-based extensions AND your template's "tools" or functionality will operate properly.

So download the full Mootools library

mootools.net/download

unzip it, create a folder called "js" inside your current template and transfer in there the extracted mootools.v1.11.js file. After that, add this code between the head.../head tags in your template:

*check the above Joomlaworks link for the snippet of code. Sorry*

Possibly this works for FireBoard as well.

I don't think quick reply thing has to do with the mootools / jquery conflict, I fixed the q.r. problem with replacing some files from SVN some time ago (interpreter.fireboard.inc and some of these included in the patch) while I still have a mootools / jquery conflict over the vcard in Numinu template.

Having only one instance of mootools and jquery ofcourse helps everything work better so this should be done anyhow.

All my patches are current, including this one. It only seems to happen on the Rockettheme template.

May I ask a probably very dumb question??
I am on Fireboard 1.0.3 and have held of patching due to the huge number of people having problems with it.
If i was to do this nightly patch would that be similar to doing the 1.0.4 patch only it has a lot of the bugs and errors removed from it (I know it is an unofficial patch). Or should I wait until 1.0.5 to upgrade my 1.0.3 forum?

This patch addresses most of the issues people have reported. Back up your .3 install and apply the .4 upgrade and then this patch. If it doesn't work out you can always reapply your back since the database isn't being rewritten.

As this is only a test patch I recommend you wait for 1.0.5 unless you are willing to test this any live with some issues.
