Warning! - Failed to move file 3 Months, 1 Week ago
Hey Guys,

excuse bad gramma or spelling, i am on my second language here.

wen i try to install the Fireboard i get the following error message.

"Warning! - Failed to move file"

I think is a bit of my own fault but Help would still be appreciated.

What i did is the following. - I had Joomla 1.0.8 Installed via an automatic Installation by my WebSpace Portal. (thats the newest one they offered) It was working fine and i installed fireboard onto it and it was working fine.

Wen i tried to upgrade Joomla to the newest 1.0.* version all of the sudden my admin password stoped working and i thought to myself, well ok - get this don yourself so youŽll have much less problems in the long run anyway.

So klicked on the uninstall joomla option in my WebSpace Portal (this deletes and creates full databases btw. - so itŽs not like there are a billion tables in it) and went for installing the 1.5.* version on my own.

This Worked fine, but while uploading i already noticed a folder that has been left over after deinstaling the old Joomla - the fireboard foolder - i tried to delete it but it did not work. (i can do nothing to the folder at all - no deleteing, no new file upload into it, no renaming, no nothing)

As i Said, Joomla 1.5.* is working fine. But there are old files around that seem to be causing problems with reinstalling fireboard.

I have the same problem with a Typo3 a bunch of files left over after an Installation (also installed via my WebSpace Providers Portal) Some Picture of Jesus.... the Admin Pannel of Typo3 alone already gave me brain damage...

Of cause, i could solve this problem by simply installing joomla in a new folder, but iŽed like to keep my newly set up server as clean as possible, and having to junk folders in it after just one week aint a good start so i am asking you guys for help. (mainlee for fireboard of cause)

As you can imagin i am not one for coding myself, i am more of an print designer and this is kind of far away from what i usually do.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Could be a problem with the filesystem and its rights management... do you have ssh access to this server? Then you can try to delete the files with this.

Or it could be a problem, that recursive deletion of a path is not allowed, when the path is noch empty. So you must first delete all files in the path.
