The easy way to make your Joomla site extremely dynamic.
Don't know Javascript but want to make your website interactive and dynamic? No worries, just install JoomEdit! JoomEdit integrates IxEdit, a powerful JavaScript-based interaction design tool for the web.
With JoomEdit, developers and designers can practice DOM-scripting without coding, to change, add, move, or transform elements dynamically on your web pages.
With JoomEdit you can publish custom your code on any page! You can even have different code on different pages! No more editing index page after index page. Just use JoomEdit and it does it all for you!
To install, simply go to your Joomla administrator backend (www.yourdomain.com/administrator) and login. Once logged in go to extensions, then install, then upload the JoomEdit zipped file to and install. Very simple! Once installed, the directions appear on the screen in the description! Read and follow!
*If you use firefox or IE you have to install Google gears (gears.google.com) to your desktop.
The basic flow to create interactions with JoomEdit is as follows:
1. Enable JoomEdit from module manager. Then go to the frontend.
2. Click the “New” button in the list view to open the edit view to make a new interaction.
3. In the action edit area, specify an event and target element(s) as the trigger of interaction.
4. In the reaction edit area, specify a command and its parameters. You can make multiple reactions for one action.
5. If the reaction(s) should be executed under certain conditions, specify them in the condition edit area.
6. Write a comment in the comment edit area as you want.
7. Click the “Done” button to save the interaction you created. IxEdit Dialog switches back to the list view.
8. Repeat the process as many times as needed.
9. When you are done, choose “Deploy” from the routing menu to get the final JavaScript code.
10. Embed the generated code in the JoomEdit module
