Take a look at iJoomla Ad Agency. It is buggy, poorly designed and missing key features - and it doesn't take more than a couple of hours configuring and then looking through the PHP code to figure that out. Using the component just in its off-the-shelf format can produce PHP warning errors, and testing the ad system while logged in as the administrator (a perfectly reasonable thing to do) will reset your Super Admin account to a Registered user, and the only way to fix it is to manually adjust tables in the MySQL database. The system also lacks the basic ability to restrict the file size and dimensions of uploaded banners, so far from being a completely automated system, administrators have to deal with the vagaries that visitors predictably throw at them. All webmasters know that unless you carefully restrict input to what you want (and double check what that input is), visitors will find a way to screw it up. And this lack of attention to input-checking also worries me that the code is liable to attack given the shoddy nature of the code on display. It may be watertight, but the other lazy coding evidence does not fill me with confidence.

For 100 bucks, you expect significantly better quality from a Joomla extension, such as JomSocial or JReviews, which are robust, offer great functionality and well laid out in their interface. Ad Agency is not of that level, and it really doesn't take very long to figure that out.

iJoomla is probably the best ad management system for accepting online ad bookings from advertisers. But that's only because it has no competition.
