Just posted the final release candidate build 1.0.5RC2 on joomlacode.org/gf/project/fireboard/frs/
This is already the best, most stable production build ever. Upgrade today!
Updated change-log: This build contains various SQL and other fixes.
FIX Name and username display
NEW Recount Category stats also updates name information in messages if name/username setting was changed in config
FIX Double encoded auto redirects that conflicted with some injection filters of some hosting providers
NEW Optional Code Highlighting
FIX Reapply hold status for edited messages in moderated forums/categories
FIX Unicode preview
NEW RSS feed - optional by thread or by post
NEW RSS feed length - select 1 week, 1 month or 1 year
NEW Configurable default start page for default_ex template
NEW SEF/SEO auto redirect for incoming invalid SEF URL - no more unreachable page 1 with SEF tools
NEW bbcode config settings
NEW Parser features: trim long URLs (no need for a mambot any longer - can be switched off)
NEW auto embed features: convert most youtube and ebay urls into embedded flash player (can be switched off)
NEW My Discussions tab for default_ex: See you favorites and all threads you ever replied to
Major SQL improvements - Cut 30-40% of SQL calls on Recent Discussions and new My DIscussions tabs
Major rework: Forum permissions check re-written. Saves SQL calls and should work all over the board including search.
New little feature: You can embed eBay items just like videos inside a user post.
We have also added an initial version of a Dev Team Credits page. This will be updated for the final release.

Legacy config file support - in addition to the database config, an old style config file is created
Message text tooltips for default_ex on recent discussions and categories
Various CSS and template fixes for default_ex - template scales now in various sizes
Spoiler tag added to editor toolbar

More bbcode purification for video and ebay tags e.g. in tooltips

Overall we have put several hundred hours into 1.0.5 so far. We have fixed several hundred bugs - from minor to major. This is by far the best release of FireBoard ever.
Thanks a lot in your help testing all those pre-builds! Please make sure you share all the versions of products/packages you are using when reporting a problem. Most issues are related to specific versions and are virtually impossible to find without that. |

Today, the Best of Joomla! team is proud to announce the release of our first release candidate for FireBoard 1.0.5, RC1.
There are many new features and improvements to existing functionality in FireBoard 1.0.5 over FireBoard 1.0.4 and prior, most of which have already been described in the release announcements for the various pre-release versions, and in the related forum threads that was posted at the beginning of the beta process, but here is a brief list of just a few of the highlights.
NEW bbcode config settings
NEW Parser features: trim long URLs (no need for a mambot any longer - can be switched off)

We did numinu template for next version but I released numinu 1.0.3.0.Alpha version for testing. Some functions are disable and it doesn't have bestofjoomla.com fbprofile and userlist plugin, because it can not work for regular sites.
It would have a lot of conflict with different joomla template, please let us know. For bug report please use numinu template topic:

Fireboard 1.0.3 Stable is going to be released on 5th of September. The feature additions will be freezed after this release for 1.0.x series and this series will be maintained and bug fixed continually to improve the stable version. In this release you will find upgrade instructions from 1.0.0, 1.0.1 beta, 1.0.2 RC2 to 1.0.3 Stable instructions. We kindly request from our translators to contact Jan Erik and join the translation work group. He will guide you on how to participate in the development cycle and our dev. forum. Best of Joomla! Fireboard team is proud to announce the release of Fireboard 1.0.1 Beta version.
The new release addresses the most important features and bugs since the first release of Fireboard. Hereby, we thank our developers and the huge support from the community. Really, you made people feel the power of open source once again. No need to say that we are now the top rated project in extension directory and the #3 project on joomlacode with more than 40k downloads so far and counting!
Alright! Back to our release: The new features that you will see in the new version are as follow:

- More popular PM support
- Better CB support
- Native userlist
- Revised template system1
- Many, many bug fixes :)

1) You have to update your fireboard template CSS files! the template CSSs are totally changed
